As Christians across Nigeria celebrate Palm Sunday, Okigwe senatorial aspirant, Charles Onyirimba, has called on residents of Okigwe Zone to embrace hope, unity, and collective action for community development.
In his Palm Sunday message, Onyirimba highlighted the spiritual significance of the day, commemorating Jesus Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem, and stressed that true leadership is grounded in service, humility, and accountability to the people.
“Leadership is not measured by titles or noise, but by meaningful action that connects with the people,” Onyirimba said.
Addressing the challenges facing Okigwe communities, including youth unemployment, infrastructure gaps, and limited access to opportunities, Onyirimba urged citizens to remain optimistic and work together toward progress. He emphasised that Palm Sunday reminds everyone that change begins with courage, conviction, and purposeful action.
Onyirimba concluded by praying for peace, strengthened families, and renewed vision for the future of Okigwe Zone, encouraging residents to turn faith into action in building a better community.
