The families of Joseph Nwelue of Ezeoke Nsu in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area and Nze Ozoji of Lowa, Ihitte Uboma, Imo State, have announced the transition of their beloved mother, grandmother, and community matriarch, Mama Grace Nwelue, at the age of 95.

Mama Grace was a devout Christian mother and respected community figure, whose life was defined by deep faith, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to family and community. She was widely known for her humility, kindness, wise counsel, and steadfast devotion to God. Through her quiet strength and exemplary character, she nurtured generations and left an enduring mark on all who encountered her.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other extended family members, among whom is her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Favour Nwelue (Ada Okigwe), as well as numerous relatives, friends, and well-wishers who will greatly miss her loving presence and motherly guidance.

The family announces that her remains will depart Alanwemadu Mortuary on Friday, March 20, 2026, for burial rites at her hometown after a funeral service scheduled to hold at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Ezeoke Nsu.

Though Mama Grace has departed this earthly life, her legacy of faith, love, discipline, and service will continue to live on in the hearts and lives of those she raised, mentored, and inspired.

The family humbly requests prayers and support during this period of mourning.

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” (Psalm 116:15)

May her gentle soul rest in the perfect peace of the Lord.
