Ademola Lookman has taken the next step in his football journey, completing a permanent move to Spanish giants, Atletico Madrid.
The Nigeria international leaves Italian side, Atalanta, after four-and-a-half years to join Diego Simeone’s squad, signing a contract that runs until June 2030.
Atletico Madrid secured Lookman’s signature ahead of competition from Turkish club, Fenerbahce, signaling their confidence in the 28-year-old winger’s ability to make an impact in La Liga.
“I feel truly blessed to be here,” Lookman told Atletico Madrid’s official website. “It’s a special moment. Atletico is an incredible club, and I’m happy to be part of it.”
Having played in three of Europe’s top leagues, Lookman is ready to embrace a new environment, a new language, and a new challenge.
