Mai Wushirya a TikTok star has been ordered by a magistrate court in Kano to formalise his relationship with Basira Yar Guda, another Time Toker within 60 days.
The ruling is coming on the heels of Wushirya’s arrest, alongside Yard Guda, a dwarf woman by operatives of the Kano State Censorship Board, following the viral circulation of videos of the duo engaging in what the board described as “immoral and demeaning acts”.
The board contender that by appearing shirtless in the video and showing affectionate behaviour toward Yar Guda, Wushirya and the dwarf contravened state laws barring the production or circulation of obscene and sexually suggestive content.
Wushirya was arraigned in court and remanded in a correctional centre.
However, Halima Wali, the presiding judge, in her ruling, directed the Hisbah board to oversee the marriage process between the two artistes, adding that it would contempt of the court if the duo failed to conduct the marriage within 60 days.
She also ordered the chairman of the Kano State Censorship Board to ensure the execution of her order.
