Confusion as man commits suicide inside wife’s lover’s compound in Imo
Residents of Lawa in Ogbaku, Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State have been left in shock and confusion, following the alleged suicide of a man within the premises of another man whom he accused of having an affair with his wife.
The man, who was identified as Reginald on Sunday allegedly took his own life when he could no longer bear the shame of another man sleeping with his wife.
According to Leadership, residents of Lawa community woke up to the horror of Reginald’s body dangling on a free in the compound of his wife’s alleged lover, simply identified as Ukachukwu, stirring deep emotions in the people.
It was gathered that the deceased had repeatedly complained about the illicit love affair between his wife and Ukachukwu, but was ignored by his wife.
“We woke up this morning to see the dangling body of Reginald in the compound of Ukachukwu. We had seen him complain about his wife and Ukachukwu but nobody knew it would drive him to commit suicide. He has the entire community in confusion because we have not witnessed anything like this in the past,” a source said.
Meau, DSP Henry Okoye, the Spokesperson, Imo State Police Command, is yet to react to the incident.
