The Niger State Emergency Management Agency, NSEMA, on Sunday released more facts on the Saturday tragic boat mishap in Shiroro Local Government Area of the state.
According to NSEMA, the ill-fated boat was carrying 39 passengers were aboard the boat out of whom 13 died while 26 persons have so far been rescued with 13 deaths recorded.
The 13 dead comprised eight were women, three men and two children
Their remains were evacuated from the scene and have been buried.
This mishap is coming too soon after the recent similar tragedy in which over 200 persons died.
