Nwajiuba and Buhari

Hon. Dr. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, HCN, has expressed grief over the transition of former President Muhammadu Buhari and paid a glowing tribute to the late Nigerian leader.
The former Minister of State, Education, in a soul-stirring, poetic statement he personally signed, bemoaned the death of Buhari, who left office on May 29, 2023, describing him as a caring enigma, who was loved and lauded.
“A wonder, Fully man. An Ode to our principal President Muhammadu Buhari PMB,” Nwajiuba write.
“Dusty,dreary lands,lent our nation, its lanky, swanky son. Tacit as tactic, he soaked himself in us.
“Loved and lauded, many patriots sought. Livid and loathed, many others reviled. Con, in contrast, coy in contradiction. Stoic stern, yet soft. Religious, yet. Irreverent, caring yet distant.
“Eight decades, gawping, stumping, grasping, strumping, gasping, and giving all. In three short years of resting, giving it up. Enigmas bloom, as he has. Wonder, we how full.
“The 83rd candle light quivers, dims and outs.This wonder, is fully, man.”
Buhari, who also served as Nigeria’s military head if state, died in a London hospital on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
