As 2027 approaches, a group of concerned constituents of Okigwe Senatorial District, also known as Imo North, is unrelenting in its quest for a suitable senator for the zone.
The group’s concern stems from its belief that the zone has been consistently short-changed and desires a pragmatic representation in the scheme of things, both in Imo State and national affairs.
The Transformation Agenda Platform, as it is known, comprises four sub-groups with the Transformation Agenda as the umbrella;  Transformation Patriots, Transformation Matrons, Transformation Youth Vanguard,  Transformation Eaglets.
The executive members of the groups across the zone had a pre-inaugural in Ehime Mbano last Friday in preparation for their formal inauguration.
The essence of the meeting is to help team members get acquainted with one another, so that wherever they meet, they will understand they are working towards the same agenda, rather than working at cross purposes unknowingly.
All coordinators in the Okigwe Zone attended the meeting.
One of the major highlights of the meeting was the induction of Hon. Mrs Favour Nwelue, the statewide coordinator of the Transformation Agenda Group, as Ada Okigwe. The Zonal Coordinator, Chief Christian Mbama, decorated her.
Hon. Nwelue was honoured because of her diligence, commitment, and exemplary leadership qualities. She was urged to continue the good work, as Okigwe would remain grateful to her when it is eventually liberated from the plague of lacklustre representation.
