Nyesom Wike, minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), has released a venom of allegations against Chibuike Amaechi, a former minister of transportation and his predecessor in office as Rivers State governor.

Wike was reacting to comments made by Amaechi on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television programme, on Thursday, where he claimed that Wike lacked political relevance.

Amaechi had also described Judith, his wife, as an industrialist, a claim that provoked Wike to open the Pandora box allegedly hiding Amaechi’s secret deals when he appeared on the same programme on Friday.
Wike called on President Bola Tinubu to release the report of the forensic audit carried out on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), which contained records that Amaechi’s wife allegedly collected N4billion monthly under the guide of training Niger Delta women.
“First of all, Amaechi’s wife was not an industrialist at the time; the best I know,” the FCT minister said.“And that’s why I’ve called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to release the forensic audit of the NDDC.

“Through Amaechi’s wife’s company, N4 billion was being received every month to train Niger Delta women. That’s N48 billion a year. The forensic report is there.

“Who killed it? It was Malami (former AGF)—he killed that document to protect those concerned. One of the people who are talking about coalition.

“Mr President should help Nigerians. This is what I’ve always said: please, release the forensic audit of the NDDC.

“N4 billion a month to train Niger Delta women! I have said, ‘Let Mr. President, please, do us a favour and release that document.’

“Just release the document. That’s how his wife became an industrialist; N4 billion every month to train Niger Delta women.

“Let them release the document. If what I am saying is not in the document, I will resign as FCT minister,” he said.

“I said I will resign. I do not worship any office. I didn’t say the forensic audit was right; all I am saying is the audit report should be released.”

Also reacting to Amaechi’s comment that he was corrupt and owned a Rolls Royce, Wike admitted to owning the car, adding that it was not a gift from anyone.

According to him, he does not share the same poor background as Amaechi, also noting that as student, he used a Mercedes-Benz.
“I have a Rolls-Royce; nobody gave it to me; I bought it for myself. I didn’t come from the same background as Rotimi Amaechi. As a student, I was using a Mercedes-Benz. My father was the manager of so many companies. I come from a rich background but not too rich like the Dangotes,” he said.
