Simon Ekpa denies IPOB in Finnish court, claims he’s only content creator

Simon Ekpa, the self-acclaimed Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile, BRGIE,  on Wednesday denied being a member of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

He shocked social media when he was arraigned in a Finnish court on terror-related charges, claiming that he was just a content creator, who uses his leisure to create videos and other contents.

Ekpa told the court during cross-examination that he did not have anything to do with the Nnamdi Kanu-led IPOB, despite being the founder of Auto-Pilot, a breakaway group from the mainstream IPOB.

Many social media users, especially on X resorted to poking fun at him for denying the IPOB he was very much involved with.

One X user writing on the handle @JJ Omojuwa said: “I understand IPOB Prime Minister Simon Ekpa told the Finnish court prosecuting him that he is not a member of IPOB. That he is a “content creator.”

 @Chinex, wrote: “Just finished listening to Simon Ekpa’s court proceedings, and I’m honestly in disbelief. During cross-examination, he completely distanced himself from IPOB, claiming he’s merely a content creator. According to him, everything he’s done was simply ‘acting’, nothing more.”

“Simon Ekpa’s neighbor testified against him, claiming he often heard him say “woto woto promax” during phone calls. Out of curiosity, he did some digging and found it was allegedly a coded phrase Simon used whenever he gave orders to his boys in Alaigbo to go and kill.”

“Simon Ekpa has been preaching and deceiving his followers that freedom is coming tomorrow, saying that no true freedom fighter escapes jail or death. But at his court hearing, he claimed to be just a content creator, and here I am, wondering why he didn’t boldly admit that he’s fighting for Biafra.”
