Andrew Nice Ominikoron, the Lagos Bus Rapid Transit, BRT, driver who had been facing trial for raping and killing a female fashion designer, Bamise Ayanwola, has bagged a death sentence courtesy of the Lagos State High Court, sitting at the Tafawa Balewa Square.
Justice Sherifat Sonaike, passed the judgement on Friday, May 2, 2025.
Ominnikoron had been arraigned by the Lagos State Government on a four-count charge of conspiracy, murder, and two counts of rape.
He was accused of conspiring with others who are stil on the run, to sexually assault his 22-year-old victim before killing her on November 25, 2021.
