The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has released Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as ‘E-Money’  after hours of interrogation over alleged naira and dollar abuse

The Lagos socialite and businessman was picked up at his Omole, Lagos home on Monday night.

E-Money, the 44-year-old CEO of Five Star Music was flown to the EFCC headquarters in Abuja for questioning. However, in a post on his Instagram, he announced and celebrated his release  page on Tuesday night.

The socialite was seen in the video he posted adorned in traditional clothes, with beads and a staff, posing like a king in his home.

He added Emmanuel Lazarus’s ‘Thank You for Saving Me’ song to the video.

“No tension, everywhere good, I see all your love and support. God bless you all,” he wrote.

Popular comedian, Okon Lagos, had frownde at the arrest of E-Money over alleged dollar abuse, which he said was unjust and unwarranted.“If E-money abuses the dollar on Nigerian soil, what’s wrong with it? Is the dollar not abusing the Naira every day? Why not prioritise incarcerating bad, corrupt leaders who ruin the economy and at the same time are cheerleaders while the dollar constantly abuses and pummels the Naira,” he reasoned in a post on his Instagram page.
