EFCC arrests E-Money in Lagos, flown to Abuja

Emeka Okonkwo Daniel, popularly known as E-Money, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over alleged naira US dollar abuse.

The Lagos socialite and CEO of Five Star Music record label was reportedly arrested by operatives of the anti-graft agency for  allegedly spraying naira and defacing US dollars thereby contravening Nigeria’s Foreign Exchange Act.
The offence was allegedly committed at a social gathering somewhere in Lagos, but the specific location is not yet disclosed.

According to the Commission, preliminary investigations into the matter had commenced and the socialite would be charged to court upon at the end of the exercise.

Meanwhile, E-Money has been flown to Abuja for further interrogation by the investigators.
