Nigerian music superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has said he’s now a changed person who has found peace in his marriage and no longer goes about chasing women.
In a recent candid with The Breakfast Club, the 30BG boss confessed how women caused a lot of disruptions his career, adding that marriage has tamed and helped him to deal with womanising.
Davido talked about his relationship with Chioma, his wife, and how this has positively affected his music career. whenever there’s tension between him
“Whenever I have issues with her, I don’t do well in my music, and my business goes down,” he confessed. However, he’s learned to make amends quickly, especially as his new album approaches,” he said.
“If I mistakenly have issues with her, she would say, ‘Ok, shebi your album is coming, we’ll see.’ And I will quickly make peace with her,” he shared with a smile. He went on to add, “When I am at peace with her, everything I touch blows.
“You can never see her go to any interviews or go live and say, ‘My husband do this or that’… never!” he said. “I can’t sit here and say I am perfect. Nobody is perfect,” adding, however,
that he has found peace since settling down.
Davido also said he no longer desires any drama in his life, especially given his fatherhood responsibilities. “I don’t want wahala. I have 5 kids with four women. I’m not cheating again..”
He said some members of his team are complaining that the crew has become “boring” since he got married.
Davido said, “The other day I walked in on my boys talking, I asked what they were talking about and they said, ‘Boss, we are not having any fun. You’ve changed. Where are the girls?’
“I said, ‘Where are the girls? When I get into trouble, everybody will run away and leave me alone to face the internet nah.’
“Women have dealt with me in my career. I’m good, bro. I’m no longer interested in womanising. Trust me, I’ve been at the highest of the highest, the best time is when there’s no problem at all. I don’t care how much you make or how much is in your account. I have made it all. There’s nothing like peace of mind.”
The OBO crooner stated that his focus now is on peace, growth, and the well-being of his family.
