The Lekki area of Lagos has been hit by a tragedy, involving a 30-year old woman, who died when a water tank fell from the scaffold and landed on her.
The victim , who was identified as Cynthia Chizoba Oguzie was sleeping in her room when the tank crushed her.
According to a Facebook post by one Chukwuebuka Nathaniel, who claimed to be her brother, the landlord has refused to take responsibility for the incident but rather blamed the engineer who installed the tank for doing a shoddy job.
He also shared the video and pictures of the incident.
“Beware of the Lekki building and their water stand. This is how they sent my sister to her early grave. Thank you so called Lekki landlord and your engineer for doing this type of water tank.
The landlord said he is not in Nigeria, is the engineer that builds all the houses and sends him pictures; this is how the story ended ooo,” Nathaniel wrote.
