The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Monday received the petition seeking the recall process of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan as Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The Secretary to the commission, Rose Oriaran-Anthony, received the petition on behalf of the Commission.
It was reportedly submitted with over 250,000 signatures from constituents, out of about 480,000 registered voters in her district.
Recall that protesters had faulted the recall process, contending that the organisers had tricked the people to come for empowerment programme where they were deceived to write down their names without telling them that it was for the recall of the lawmaker, who represents Kogi Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
