The suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has left the Government House in Port Harcourt with his family members and security details.

The embattled governor reportedly vacated the premises on Wednesday morning.

President Bola Tinubu had on Tuesday declared a state of emergency in Rivers State, following months if political crisis, which resulted in what the president described as  non-functionality of governance in the state.

He appointed a retired naval chief, Vice-Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas as the sole administrator of the state.

Meanwhile, in spite of the recent development, Port Harcourt remained normal, as residents went about with their normal business activities.
