A notorious bandit leader, known as ‘ Yellow Aboki,’ a close associate of the late terror kingpin Hassan Bamamu, has been eliminated by troops of the Nigerian Army during clearance operations in Zamfara State.

According to information made available to Zagazola Makama, by security  sources, Yellow Aboki was deleted in a recent encounter with troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA in the North West of Tsafe LGA.

This is coming on the heels of the military’s successful operation that led to the elimination of Hassan Dantawaye, aka Bamamu, a feared bandit commander and one of his closest allies.

Yellow Aboki had reportedly been consolidating control over criminal activities in Zamfara, following the death of Bamawu, coordinating violent attacks and kidnappings across areas such as Bamamu, Dan Mali, Agamalafiya, and Makera.

The military has unleashed attacks on bandit kingpins in identified enclaves across Zamfara, Sokoto, and other black spots in the North West geopolitical Zone.

The attacks have considerably weakened sustained pressure has significantly the bandits’ ability to confront troops directly, pushing them to resort to isolated attacks on vulnerable communities with limited security presence.
