Kindly Share:Popular musician, Abdulazeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, was on Tuesday freed by a Yaba Magistrate Court, Lagos, of culpability in the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, pooularly as Mohbad.
Also freed were music promoter, Samson Balogun, known as Sam Larry; Owodunni Ibrahim, also called Primeboy; and Mohbad’s former manager, Opere Babatunde.
The Magistrate, Ejiro Kubenje, acted on the advice of the Directorate of Public Prosecution, DPP, Lagos, who said they had no case to answer.
However, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse, who treated Mohbad, and one of Mohbad’s friends, Ayobami Sadiq, are to be prosecuted in the Magistrate Court for the offence of reckless and negligent acts contrary to Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law, Ch C.17, Vol.3, Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
