I’m done with this foolishness – Binance executive, Gambaryan slams FG over denial of  $150m bribe allegation

This is coming on the heels of the latter’s denial that some lawmakers at the National Assembly demanded a bribe of $150million from him to help settle his case during his ordeal in Nigeria.

Recall that Gambaryan was tried in Nigeria for financial crimes but later released, following high-level intervention from.the American government.

He recently claimed that during his detention three Nigerian lawmakers demanded a $150million bribe from him to stop his arrest and prosecution.

In response to the allegation,  the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Muhammed Idris, on behalf of the Federal Government, lampooned Gambaryan and described his claim as ‘misinformation and defamatory.’

The government denied that officials demanded bribes from Gambaryan and enjoined Nigerians to disregard the allegations.

Angered by Iris’s statement, which accused him of  spreading falsehood, Gambaryan hit back in a statement he released about his ordeal while in detention.

He described the government’s denial as ‘foolishness’ in his response on his X page.

“You dragged my name through the mud for the past year with zero evidence against me, nearly killed me, and caused trauma to my family and now you have the nerve to talk about defamation?” he wrote.

“I’ll put my credibility on the line anytime. In court? You mean like last time, when your attorneys didn’t even show up to the human rights suit in Abuja?

“Get your facts straight. I am done with this foolishness. I said my part. I’ll be off twitter now since it’s pointless to argue with evil,’ he wrote.
