2016 – Ncumisa Selani discovers that her boyfriend from Malawi Michael Changisa infected her with HIV️.
Ncumisa calls her other boyfriend from Zimbabwe Michael Phiri where she asks him to help “eliminate” Changisa. Phiri does the job and they buried Changisa in the yard of her house.
2017- Phiri moves in and stays with Ncumisa and her two sons (17 & 10 years old) in the house. Phiri becomes abusive to Ncumisa so Ncumisa and her son (17) kill and bury Phiri on top of Changisa’s body.
2018 – The 17-year-old son becomes a heavy drug user and he constantly blackmails Ncumisa asking money for drugs threatening to tell the police what they did to Phiri. Ncumisa decides to get out of the mess by killing her son and burying him on top of Phiri’s body.
2020 -Ncumisa’s other son, now 14 years old starts getting sick so they decide to visit a traditional healer to find out what’s wrong with him. During the consultation, the son tells the healer about the 3 killings that happened in the house he believed they were connected to his “sickness”.
The traditional healer visits the police station to report Ncumisa. She was arrested in the same year and today finally sentenced to three life terms.
The Pretoria high court has since sentenced Selani to three life terms for killing her two boyfriends and her 17-year-old son between 2016 and 2018.
