The former national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Edozie Njoku, has come to terms with his loss of the party’s helmsman as he emerged as the new national chairman of the National Rescue Movement, NRM, on Friday.
This became possible, following the resignation of the party’s former national chairman, Ambassador Isaac Udeh, to step down.
Njoku’s choice as NRM’s national chairman was ratified at an emergency national convention of the party held in Abuja, which was duly monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Ambassador Udeh, the former NRM chairman, is now the party’s national organising secretary.
Njoku was brought in by the NRM party members as the new chairman because of his vast experience and leadership capabilities.
The new chairman thanked his predecessor, Ambassador Udeh, for his huge sacrifice and promised to revive and reposition the party for future elections, beginning with the forthcoming governorship election in Anambra State.
