Border clashes between warring communities in Abia and Cross River states has claimed about six lives.
The recent clashes were between Isu community in Arochukwu Local Government area of Abia State and Ukwa Mbiabong Ukwa Eburutu community of Odukpani LGA, Cross River State, resurfaced.
The perennial clashes have resulted in several deaths and destruction in the last decade.
The latest outbreak of violence is reportedly the second clash in six months.
There had been a similar clash in May 2024 over a piece of land that is believed to contain some mineral deposits. The clash also resulted in several fatalities.
