Miyetti Allah chairman killed, as terrorists abduct wives, daughter

The Acting Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Katsina State, Alhaji Amadu Surajo,  was on Saturday killed by suspected terrorists.

The hoodlums attacked Mai Rana village in Kusada Local Government Area, killing Surajo and two others.
They also abducted Surajo’s first and second wives alongside one of his daughters, who is said to be a university undergraduate.

However, the attackers reportedly  released the first wife later.

Surajo became MACBAN’s Acting Chairman after the association’s former Chairman and National Vice President, Munnir Lamido, disappeared mysteriously in June last year. He was previously the  state secretary.

There have been speculations about the nature of the attack but security operatives have since moved into the community to restore order and investigate the incident.

The remains of the of the deceased are awaiting burial according to Islamic rites, while the injured are in hospital receiving medical attention.
