The gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party in the controversial November 2023 election in Imo State, Senator Athan Nneji Achonu, has felicitated with the people on the occasion of this year’s Christmas celebrations.
In a statement he personally signed, urged the people to eschew bitterness and work for love, peace and unity.
“As we celebrate this joyous season of Christmas, I, Senator Nneji Athan Achonu, extend my heartfelt greetings and warm wishes to every home, family, and individual across our beloved state,” Achonu, popularly called Agu Otu Aka, stated.
“Christmas is a time of love, peace, and hope. It reminds us of the boundless compassion of Christ, who was born to bring light into the world. Let us embody this spirit by showing kindness to one another, supporting those in need, and fostering unity in our communities.
“This season also offers us an opportunity to reflect on our shared aspirations for a better Imo State. Together, we can build a brighter future grounded in justice, equity, and prosperity for all.
“As we celebrate, I urge us all to remain vigilant and prioritize safety in all our activities. May the peace and joy of Christmas fill your hearts and homes, and may the coming year bring blessings, progress, and fulfillment to Ndi Imo.”
He wished the people a merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
