Naomi Silekunola, an estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi; the proprietor of Agidigbo FM, Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat, and the principal of Islamic High School, Bashorun, Ibadan, Mr. Abdullahi Fasasi, were on Tuesday remanded at a Correctional Centre.
The remand order was issued by the
Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Iyaganku, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, presided over by Chief Magistrate Olabisi Ogunkanmi.
The trio was arrested alongside others, who have been released in connection with the recent stampede that occurred at the school, claiming 35 lives with several others injured.
The suspects were brought to court by men of the Oyo State Police Command and arraigned amid heavy security.
They were charged with four counts that contravened Section 324 of the Criminal Code, Cap. 38, Vol. II, Laws of Oyo State of Nigeria, 2000.
However, the Chief Magistrate ordered the remand of the suspects at Agodi Correctional Centre, pending advice from the state prosecutor.
