The infant’s killing in the Keesi area of Adatan, Abeokuta, the state capital, has sent shockwaves across the spines of residents who consider the chilling murder as an abomination.
It was reported that the suspect perpetrated the heinous act on Monday, as the baby’s mother, Raimat Wasilat,  washed clothes outside their home after laying the baby on the bed.
Sadly, when she back to the room, she discovered lifeless body of the baby with a slit throat and raised alarm, which attracted the attention of neighbours, who rushed to her aid.
The neighbours discovered that the suspect had gained access to the room  through a wooden window, killed the baby by slitting his throat.
Omolola Odutola, the spokespersonn of state police command, who confirmed the incident disclosed that Taiwo has since been arrested by the police in the South West state and taken into custody.

“The mother, Raimat Wasilat, from Keesi, strongly suspected her husband, Ifagbenga Taiwo, who is training to be a herbalist. She alleges that he intended to use the child’s blood for rituals.
