Momodu dismissed the rumoured death in a post on his personal X account on Tuesday night, following claims on social media that the 71-year-old Adenuga, who is thought to be the second richest Nigerian is dead.
According to Momodu, the oil baron is hale and hearty. He urged Nigerians to “ignore the fake news.”
Momodu’s post read: “Ignore the fake news… The Spirit of Africa DR MICHAEL ADENIYI AGBOLADE ISOLA ADENUGA is hale and hearty. He’s right now at his desk working round the clock in support of the Nigerian economy… He just called me to thank everyone for their concern.”
