Angry villagers have demolished the family house of a murder suspect, who was identified as Mr Stephen Irobunda,
in Ohokobe Ndume Umuahia, Abia State.
The demolition of the house on was in retaliation for the killing of their maternal son, Bright Odizuru, who was allegedly shot dead by the suspect.
The 70-year-old suspect, reportedly shot Odizuru to death for allegedly playing football in front of his house.
Irobunda is currently in detention by the Police at State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID.
The suspect’s house was demolished while other damaged properties were strewn along the Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene road.
The Abia State Police Command said that the matter is being investigated at SCID, Umuahia, the state capital.
