Martins Vincent Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan, VDM, has identified Michael Collins Ajereh, otherwise called Don Jazzy, a popular music producer, as the donor of N100 million to his NGO.
VDM had earlier cried out on receiving alert for the hefty anonymous donation, fearing that it could be a ploy to set him up for money laundering.
Therefore, he had urged Zenith Bank and Nigerians to assist him in unraveling the donor, stating that he was not involved fraudulent activities.
In another post via his verified Instagram account on Wednesday, the activist disclosed that Don Jazzy was the donor and expressed surprise and gratitude at the gesture.
Don Jazzy’s donation has jerked up the entire donations to the NGO since it’s launch on July 12, 2024, to N170 million.
VDM explained that Don Jazzy reached out to him in a message to say he was the donor.
“Morning bro. Just saw your post. Na me send 100m to support. I believe in what you are doing and trust you to be as transparent as you have always been. We really need that in our country. I wish you all the best with the project and more blessings to you. E no easy,” the message read.
VDM shared a video where he displayed the message and the receipt of the transaction, thanking Don Jazzy for his generosity.
“This is the person that sent my NGO the 100 million naira: TILL NOW I CAN’T BELIEVE IT… ONE HUNDRED MILLION NAIRA left an account just like that. As you have supported this cause to bring better basic education for our public schools’ children, may God bring long life and good health to you and your household. I sincerely have a lot to say to you, sadly I can’t even express the joy I feel inside. GOD BLESS YOU BROS. Please join me to say a prayer for him. #RATELMOVEMENT,” VDM said in the emotional video, announcing Don Jazzy as the donor.
VDM explained that he set up the NGO to assist public primary schools pupils who lack access to quality teachers as well as to employ graduates as teachers.
