Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has warned that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, would be disgraced in Abuja.
Moreover, he said the immediate past governor of Rivers State will not be able to influence the choice of the state’s governor in 2027.
The cleric, said in a statement released by his media aide in Osho Oluwatosin, the Wike would be involved in a fight with some top members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, which would facilitate his disgrace in Abuja.
Ayodele’s warning, which follows the battle between Wike and the state governor, Sim Fubara, for the soul of the state.
According to Ayodele, Wike’s fight with Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State is an attempt to fight God. He warned him to stop the political crisis in Rivers State, or be forgotten, adding that Wike and Fubara should not use Rivers State as a battleground for 2027 politics.
“They shouldn’t use Rivers State as a battleground for 2027 politics. Wike will tear APC apart, and there is going to be a fight between Wike and top APC members. He will be disgraced in Abuja,” the statement read.
“If he isn’t careful, he will not be part of the people that will arrange the 2027 politics. He is fighting God through Fubara, and if he doesn’t desist, politics will leave him and he will be forgotten. He should stop all these troubles.”
Ayodele posited that he knows that Wike would not listen to him but stated that Wike would not be in the position to determine who would govern Rivers in 2027.
“I know he will not listen, but what will teach him will happen. In all of these, Wike will not determine who will become the governor of Rivers State in 2027.
“The crisis will not end now, but a big man will be used as a sacrifice in this war. Wike shouldn’t forget he is still coming back home; the judgment of God is coming to Rivers State; it will take one and leave one.”
The protracted dispute over the control of structures in Rivers State between Wike and his successor, Fubara, has thrown the state into deep crisis.
Despite the intervention of President Bola Tinubu, peace is long in coming to the state.
The matter escalated since the state held local government elections last Saturday against all efforts by the Wike loyalists to frustrate it.
Violence was unleashed on the state, resulting in arson and killings, as security operatives seemed unwilling to arest the drift until President Bola Tinubu gave them the marching orders to restore normalcy on Monday.
