The Edo State Police Command has arrested one Kingdom Paul, for allegedly killing a prostitute, Victory Oro, in Benin.
The 18-year old Kingdom allegedly murdered the 38-year-old woman, following a disagreement over payment after a sex romp in a local hotel.
The duo had met at a local lodge where Kingdom offered to pay the victim for a sexual encounter.
However, after the sexual romp, an argument ensued over the actual amount that was earlier agreed.
Kingdom reportedly stabbed Oro during the disagreement.
She was rushed to a hospital located on Upper Ekenwan Road, where she later died and her body deposited in the hospital’s mortuary for an autopsy.
SP Moses Joel Yamu, the Edo State Police Spokesman, who disclosed this while parading Kingdom alongside other suspects at the Command’s headquarters in Benin City. Edo State, said: “On 05/09/2024 at about 12:00 noon, operatives of Evbuotubu Division acting on information, arrested one Kingdom Paul ‘m’ 18yrs who stabbed one lady named Victory Oro ‘f 38yrs in a lodge where they went to have fun.
“The victim was immediately rushed to Supreme Hospital, Upper Ekenwan where she gave up the ghost. Her corpse has been deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy. Investigation is ongoing.”
Meanwhile, the suspect confessed to committing the crime to reporters, but claimed that Oro first attacked him for no apparent reason, despite their earlier agreement to pay her N2,000 for the encounter.
