Demola, the first son of Tijani Akinloye, the Ojomu of Ajiran land, was on Monday shot to death by unknown gunmen, the Lagos State Police Command has confirmed.

The prince was shot and stabbed to death along Chevron Drive, close to Ebeano Supermarket, Lekki area of Lagos.

Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson of the Command in a statement on Monday said the police had begun investigating the dastardly murder.

He said Demola, 50, was attacked and killed along Chevron Drive in the Lekki area of Lagos while driving in his black Toyota Corolla.

According to him, he was attacked near Bourdillon Court Estate Gate by four armed men, driving in a white mini bus.

Hundeyin added that the police have visited the scene and recovered an expanded cartridge.

The remains of the slain Demola was also moved to a morgue for preservation and autopsy.

The police spokesperson disclosed that the case would be transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba, for further investigation.

The residents of the Ajiran land have been gripped by  apprehension over the gruesome killing of the prince.
