The Commissioner for Finance in Borno State, Ahmed Ali Ahmed has been found dead in his room.
Although details of the incident are still sketchy, the Borno State government confirmed the development in a statement released by the state Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Usman Tar.
“His burial is scheduled for 5 pm on Monday, August 26, 2024, at his family residence on Damboa Road, behind the Indimi residence in Maiduguri,” the statement read.
According to locals, the deceased exceeded the time he usually comes out in the morning, fueling suspicion that something was wrong.
Governor Babagana Zulum has lost two of his cabinet members within one year.
