Lagos declares August 20 as public holiday

The Lagos State government has declared Tuesday, 20 August, a public holiday to commemorate the Isese Day celebration. 

A circular signed by Bode Agoro, the head of service in Lagos, said the decision further reaffirms the commitment of the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to provide necessary support to traditional institutions, promote indigenous traditions. 

The Head of Service further announced that public service workers in the state are expected at their duty posts by 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
