Popular Yoruba actress, Biola Ayomide Bayo, has revealed that the Lady who confessed to sleeping with dogs on her online programme faked her own death, Tribune reports.
Recall that Tribune Online reported Adenike Adewodun appeared on Biola’s podcast ‘Talk to B’, and made confessions about how she had sex with two dogs.
Days after the interview, Biola mourned Adenike’s supposed demise, sharing tearful videos online and expressing deep sorrow, even sharing alleged conversations with the deceased.
However, Biola later discovered inconsistencies in reports of Adenike’s death and, upon investigation, found that she was alive.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, 4th July, 2024, Biola revealed that Adenike had fabricated her death, warning that this deceit could lead to severe backlash, criticism, and legal consequences.
Biola asserted that both Adenike and the friend, who announced her death, have been apprehended by the authorities.
In a statement, Biola stated, “The Adenike case has been a tragic lesson for us all. We initially offered her support and therapy upon her confession, but she chose to deceive us by faking her death in an unethical manner.”
She explained that after noticing discrepancies in the story told by Adenike’s supposed ‘sister’ and friend, they launched an investigation, which confirmed Adenike’s deception.
“Following this revelation, our legal team filed a police report, leading to the arrest of Adenike and her accomplice. During police interrogation, Adenike admitted to fabricating her death, citing fears of public recognition and hoping Biola would remove the interview video.”
Biola concluded by announcing that despite this betrayal, she has chosen not to pursue legal action but instead intends to assist Adenike with therapy and rehabilitation.
She also apologised to viewers, who may have been affected by the unfolding drama and stated that further public communication on the matter would cease.
The incident has sparked significant debate and concern over the ethics of online confessions and the responsibilities of content creators in handling sensitive personal disclosures.
