The United Arab Emirates, UAE, has lifted its visa ban on Nigerians.
This followed an agreement between the Federal Government and the UAE, which will enable Nigerians to access visas to be able to travel to the UAE.
Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, announced the agreement reached between both countries at Presidential Villa, in Abuja.
According to the agreement, which takes immediate effect, holders of Nigerian passports can now travel to the UAE.
The country had in October 2022, imposed a visa restriction on Nigerian citizens as well as suspending its flight operations to Nigeria a month later.
