Operatives of the Yobe State Police Command have nabbed one Mallam Auwalu Haruna, for allegedly abducting and impregnating a 20-year-old lady.
According to DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, the spokesperson, said the victim’s father, Alhaji Mohammed Kellu, lodged a report against the suspect, who is a self-proclaimed marabout.
He stated that Kellu filed a complaint at the Tarmuwa Divisional Police Headquarters about the abduction of his daughter by Haruna on June 6, 2024.
Furthermore, he disclosed officers deployed to the matter successfully track the kidnap suspect and the young lady to Anguwan Arewa, Gaya Local Government Areas of Kano State.
A medical examination of the victim after her rescue, revealed that she was two months pregnant.
She disclosed that she was forced to drink a concoction, which knocked her unconscious to enable the perpetrator to have his way with her.
