Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, has stated that he is unique among the current presidential aspirants in Nigeria.

According to the former Anambra governor, none of the other aspirants can boast of his background and experience.

Obi, who spoke in an interview with Arise Television on Monday, stressed that he was dedicated to building a better Nigeria.

He stated that his combined experience in business and governance sets him apart from other presidential hopefuls.

“Let me assure you, I’m committed to a better Nigeria, and I have what it takes,” Obi said.

“I have the experience of everyone currently aspiring to be president. None of them has my background. I built a successful business in this country. I’ve worked in the corporate world, and I served as a governor. I transformed a small bank into a N25 billion institution.”

He pointed out that as a governor, he left office without owing any salaries or pensions, and even saved money for the state, adding that he has not received any form of benefit from the Anambra State Government since he left office.

“I left office without owing anyone. I believe I saved more money than any other governor in the state’s history. And since then, I’ve never received a pension, gratuity, or even a bottle of water from the state,” Obi highlighted.

To buttress his integrity, Obi challenged the government to seize any land or asset allegedly allocated to him during his time in office.
