Access Bank confirms viral report of ex-staff filming colleagues in restrooms, says justice would be served

Access Bank, one of Nigeria’s leading financial institution has confirmed that Stephen Ifeanyichukwu Ejezie, its former staff was caught secretly filming colleagues in restrooms.
The report has gone viral.
Access Bank has since sacked Ejezie and says it is cooperating with law enforcement authorities in their investigation into the matter.
The bank’s management  in a statement it had reported the incident to the appropriate authorities and that an investigation is underway.

“We uphold a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment and any form of privacy violation,” the statement read.

“We are fully cooperating with the authorities and engaging with affected employees to provide all necessary support.”

It enjoined the public to rely on updates shared through its official communication channels, stressing that its  highest priority remained the safety, dignity, and well-being of employees and customers.

Ejezie, a former quality assurance specialist at Access Bank’s contact centre in Oniru, Lagos, was allegedly caught in the female restroom at about 1:30 am on Wednesday after secretly recording hundreds of video clips of colleagues.

Some affected staff feared that they might not get justice despite the bank sacking the culprit

However, Access Bank, while thanking stakeholders, has assured that it would ongoing investigations into the matter.
