Suspected Fulani herdsmen have attacked Benue State again, leaving trails of blood and tears behind.
In the latest incident,c which reportedly occured in the Otobi-Akpa community in Otukpo Local Government Area scores of residents are feared killed, while several houses were torched.
According to a source, the incident occurred Tuesday evening when the assailants invaded the village, shooting indiscriminately at anyone in sight.
“They have been shooting and killing people since 6 pm. As we speak, our house and several others have been burnt down. We are helpless,” he said.
The exact number of casualties is yet to be ascertained as at the time if filing this report.
Meanwhile, residents have deserted the community in search of refuge elsewhere.
