Yahaya Bello, the immediate past Governor of Kogi State, on Wednesday pleaded not guilty to an alleged N110 billion fraud levelled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Bello, who was arraigned on 16-count charge before Justice Maryanne Anenih of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja had been arrested on Tuesday when he presented him to the headquarters of the anti-graft agency after several months of being on the run.

The ex-governor had earlier been declared wanted by the Commission in April 2024.
