Four workers were on Sunday burnt to death at Lagos lounge and bar.
The tragic incident occurred on Baale Road, in the Olodi Apapa area of the metropolis.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokeman of the Lagos State Police Command, confirmed the incident to journalists in Lagos on Monday.
He disclosed that the Tolu Police Division received a distress call was that fire gutted a lounge and bar on Sunday at 07:45 a.m.
“Based on the report, teams of policemen and firefighters were swiftly mobilised to the scene and the fire was successfully put out as a result of the efforts of all the teams,” Hundeyin said.
“Four of the company’s staff, who are yet to be identified, got burnt beyond recognition in the fire.
“The corpses have been evacuated to Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) Morgue, Yaba for autopsy.”
According to him, the incident is being investigated.
However, he added that the cause of the fire and value of the property destroyed are not known yet.
