The Nigerian Army has instituted a probe into alleged administrative discrepancies by Brig.-Gen. MA Sadiq, the immediate past Brigade Commander, 3 Brigade, Kano.
Maj.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations on Wednesday in Abuja  said the brigade commander was removed to ensure a unfettered investigation into the alleged activities.
Nwachukwu described the Nigerian Army as  a self-regulatory institution, which is founded on the bedrock of discipline, justice, and accountability, adding that it had zero tolerance for indiscipline.
“The Nigerian Army assures both our internal and external publics that the allegations will be thoroughly investigated, and appropriate administrative action will be taken,” he said.
“Our commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and transparency remains unwavering.
“We guarantee that the process will be fair, impartial, and in line with our established procedures.”
